Time Off

It's easy to assume that life on the road is all fun.Generally our life is one long party, sometimes I liken it to a never ending college spring break road trip. For the most part this is true, but there's a lot of undesireable aspects like 8 guys in a van for hours a day (we had our bro Mark along manning the merch table this tour), time away from family (Sarah and I just did 7 weeks) load-in, crappy food, not enough sleep, etc... All necessary elements of our touring lifestyle, but non-ideal none-the-less. Suffice to say we're looking forward to a break between the East and West sections of the Things That Fly Tour.

These last two weeks rank amongst the best in band history. We're discovering new musical territory every night and the raw enjoyment factor is through the roof. Everyone's taking more chances and I've never seen fans so ready to have a good time. We can't even begin to describe our gratitude; so many new friends, so many highs... absolutely epic Eastern Tour. Can't wait to see all of you at The Festy this fall. We'll announce the line-up soon.

The Western half of our Tour launches in Taos with our friends the Belleville Outfit on June 8th. We're planning to unveil a bunch of new musical ideas, jams and "moments" out West. We're spending most of the summer out there, hitting as many if the great zones as we can. From Seattle to Flagstaff, Bozeman to Pagosa Springs. Life is so good, we have so much to be thankful for.

Be good to each other, we're all we have.
